The child’s heart was weak, too weak, in another world it works, just enough for it to be born and eventually have an entity fill in the gaps, keeping him alive.
Here? The heart is too weak, the child would not survive childbirth.
So? They take over.
There was no soul there yet, therefore there was no need for consent, it was a struggle to fit thought, to squeeze their metaphysical frame into something so…tiny. Uncomfortable they would say really, but it works.
At nine months, after a surprisingly easy and quick birth, Peter Lukas is born on a rainy afternoon at a private hospital room in central London to Anna and Edward Lukas. He was a surprisingly calm baby, barely cried which concerned the doctors, but after tests and checks in, it was deemed that he was healthy.
The fault in his heart no longer existed after all, they fixed it once they slotted themselves into place. It wouldn't do to have a faulty vessel after all. They have a mission to accomplish. Jonah Magnus needs a guardian angel and they are the latest one tasked for it.Eldritch angels for you all.

Summary
He tries not to panic, because he knows that would only bring him trouble, but its hard when he occasionally sees a figure in the distance, peeking from the corner of his eye. Every time Peter passes a hallway he catches sight of a face looking at him from the corner of the next crossroad.
Its not even something horrifying, some monsters or creatures. It's just Micheal, watching him.
Peter has tried, more than once really, to use the lonely to escape, to go into his beach and leave this place, but whenever he tries it just doesn't work, so he can only assume that he is in fact stuck in his hallways. The lonely simply was cut off from him, making him unable to leave. He was being slowly digested he reckons, forced to traverse this stupid maze of metallic hallways over and over again, there was no sense for him to internally map anything, it would be downright stupid to try.
Nothing will be where he last saw it, and the hallways all look the same, only with tiny little differences that are just there to unnerve him.
