Summary
Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself, as much as he tries. He and Miles have always butted heads-- his son just has this carefree, unfettered approach to life that Davis' strict, no-nonsense methods seemingly have no place in. A large part of him loves Miles for that, truly, even though sometimes Jefferson feels as if he's just slowing him down.
But now, with Miles away at school on weeknights-- seemingly always busy with something or another-- Jefferson has never felt that gaping space between himself and his son yawn wider.Enter the new Spider-Man. A free-spirited kid, five foot nothing and standing between the whole city and danger as if it’s his job, breaking a long series of minor laws with careless ease, and giving a certain cop heart palpitations on a regular basis.
Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself anymore. No matter how much he hates vigilantes-- especially of the masked variety-- a child is a child. And a dad is a dad.

Summary
Peter never actually thought he and MJ would be using the guest bedroom all that much. The wayward in-law visit here and there, maybe an old friend stopping by for the night but never anything more.
However when you're the only stable-ish adult surrounded by emotionally inconsistent teens with varying home lives, you find that room to be much more frequently visited.

Summary
Miles’ parents get suspicious after the events of Spiderverse. Even more so when their son starts to distance himself from them, spending more time in school or— or wherever else instead of coming back home for the weekends. There’s also the topic about his mysterious “friend”, Gwenda—Jeff doesn’t even believe she exists legally—and the whole “your son is in trouble” thing. Was Miles involved in that mafia incident that was all over the news last week? If he was, Rio was going to whoop his ass bad and never let the boy out of her sight.
Or, Miles' attempts to keep his civilian and vigilante life separate. He fails, miserably.
