Summary
A year after Vecna went into hiding, Will got used to seeing ghosts hang around their friends. He could see Billy hovering next to Max, Barb roll her eyes when Steve said something dumb near Nancy and sometimes he saw Bob around his mom. Some other people in Hawkins had ghosts around them and he didn't have to be a genious to understand they were all Upside Down related. What he couldn't understand was why the ghost of a cheerleader would linger around random areas of the town, near the other Party members but never too close to anyone.
When Will shared this with The Party, more questions arised: if that was Chrissy Cunningham, why was she with them? Why didn't Eddie ghost appear around Dustin? Could ghosts haunt other dead people? Was Eddie actually truly dead?
With that last question in mind. A select group of Steve, Robin, Nancy and Dustin take a small trip to the Upside Down, only to be met with a monstrous version of a boy they once knew.
