The blaster’s almost used up now, the cartridge's illumination basically useless, but she can still see the body by it. It stands up to full height, and shuffles. Part of its spine has collapsed, and hangs away from the lower body at a sickening angle. Its glazed white eyes stare, something akin to breath rasping past its shrivelled black gums, and three more maggots crawl from his nostrils. It begins to walk towards her.
And Valerie can’t. fucking. move.

"My name is Danny Fenton… and I think I'm dead."
Danny had been missing for over a year when she found it… a journal tucked under his pillow that definitely hadn't been there the day before. It was a small leather bound book about seven inches tall, four inches wide, and an inch thick. Maddie remembered it being the journal his friend Sam had gotten him for his birthday the month before he'd gone missing. Finding it under Danny's pillow was shocking to say the least, more shocking however were the contents.
