Summary
Jason knows, despite the ability he's been granted, he's nobody's weapon. Even if Bruce can still call on him in battle (despite his wishes), he's a fighter in and a person in his own right.
Dick is starting to forget he's not just a weapon, and as his past physically confronts him, his brothers see a side of himself he isn't proud of.

"Later while leaving, Carlton went to get his keys from his pocket when he felt something strange. Pulling it out revealed a smooth stone or.. crystal, small enough to rest in his palm. It was a muddy orange-brown, with black stripes and a smooth, glossy surface. He might've mistaken it for a roadside pebble had it not been clearly polished."
Or; 4 times Shawn surprised Lassiter with crystals, and 1 time he was surprised back

TW: Abuse
“I’m not asking you to make Damian give up Robin, I’m only telling you that you need to stop raising child soldiers! Is that all we are to you?! Pawns in your screwed up fucking mission? You don’t deserve to call yourself a father, in fact, you don’t even deserve to call yourself human you-!”
Bruce’s fist makes a resounding crack! as it hits Dick’s face. He topples to the ground, and is left to stare up at Bruce while the man towers over him.
“You have no right to have any say in how I parent my sons. Or have you forgotten that you’re not even one of them?”

Summary
“Bruce, you would report parents like those to the police. And by the time I was with the Titans, I would too. And still, Bruce, still, I took it when you hurt me because—because I don’t know. Because maybe, somewhere along the way, I started pretending you weren’t my father.”
"Hurt you," Jason echoes, and now his voice isn't raspy because he's pretending to be Batman. Bruce hurt Dick. The first son, the favourite, the one most like him.
Bruce hurt him?
"Do you still not understand what you did? What you keep doing? ‘It is what it looks like.’ Funny how I only realised it after my death, after you beat me up and sent me away from my family.”
Dick stands up, all stiff movements. The light from outside hits him directly, and Jason realises he’s in a nightmare.
Jason was—he was dreaming. This—this man, hunched and shaking and bleeding—cannot be Dick. His brother’s face could never be dripping with blood from his father’s fists.
“Look. You’ve made me a victim,” Dick tells him.
OR
Dick finally realises Batman is an abusive piece of shit, and so do his brothers. What follows is never that simple.
