“Not my arm,” Ian says, “I just fractured my wrist.” He wriggles a few fingers that poke out from the cast as if to prove he still has movement, “and I didn’t tell you because I was embarrassed.”

Will didn’t look back until he was inside the lobby, by then James had gone and he could get into the lift and breath out for the first time in hours. What would life be like if he asked James to come up with him? If he was just part of their lives? If he knew there was a ‘their’ to be part of? He wasn’t sure if he could take seeing his big hazel eyes looking at him with hurt if he ever found out.
"Papa!" Juno was fussing when he got inside the flat, dropping his coat and bag just as she reached him with an appalled expression on her face - big hazel eyes shining almost golden as she grabbed his arm.
