“Yes,” Pond’s quick to reply, “I want–” and then he stops, the words dying before they catch air, hanging taut in the space between their mouths.
“Tell me what you want, Pond.” Phuwin has been crushed under the wave, hovering so close to Pond he may as well be inside his mouth. “I’ll do whatever it is for you.” And he has to restrain the ‘everything and anything’ from leaving.
His eyes widened, and valleys of brown stared back at Phuwin. Then it drops, low and bid, and Phuwin wants to store his brain there and let himself live there forever. It’s Pond, Phuwin thinks, he’s to blame for this.
“I want to feel you. I want you in me.”
