Taehyun feels Kai looking at him, not with resentment or fear, but with a disgusting comfort telling him that he had no obligations to anyone but himself. Not to his parents, not to Kai, not to whoever pressures him to become something he so desperately did not want to be.
Yes, the sole obligation Taehyun has is towards himself. That was the one obligation, his entire fucking life, that he was daunted by, for meeting that one, critical requirement would involve him abandoning all of the other principles set in stone for him that ought to guide his life.

He turned his attention to the mess they left. An obscene mixture of his own saliva and Beomgyu’s slick spread from his hole to halfway down his thighs, all damp and sticky. When he was like this, it was hard to look away.
“Stop staring.” Beomgyu rasped. His voice was dry and torn; completely ruined. “It’s so embarrassing.”
Taehyun sat back on his knees and met his eyes again. Tried to, at least – Beomgyu’s face was turned away, trying to hide in the strands of his hair. “Don't be. It's only me.”
“I know,” he said, almost bashful. “I can’t get used to it, I guess.”
Taehyun and Beomgyu promised no feelings, but Taehyun starts feeling too much. When a sudden storm rolls in and the two are snowed in together, Taehyun is forced to face it: he and Beomgyu could never be "casual."
