When he makes the mistake of extending the Wrights' stay over the anniversary of his father's death, Miles is subjected to an infamous Phoenix Wright Turnabout.
He only wishes he felt less guilty about it.

Summary
Phoenix Wright's... shall we say, unorthodox courtroom tactics didn't start with the parrot. Or having his mentor come back from the dead just to tell him to turn over a receipt, and then giving him a list of names to blackmail the blackmailer when that piece of evidence doesn't do the trick. It didn't even start with sounding a clock right there in the courtroom.
It might have started with an incident when he himself was a defendant involving a necklace. However, it certainly didn't stop in the interim period between his own acquittal and his first case.
(In his defense, he thought the gun was unloaded.)
