Ed uses Stede’s shoulder as a crutch as she hops to her feet. She makes her way to the front of the boat, untying the bow line, then runs back to the wheel, maneuvering them out.
She looks to Stede, who stares at her, mouth agape.
“All good?” Ed asks.
For a moment it’s silent, until Stede says, rushed, “Yes! I’m just impressed, is all. With all your skills.”
