Bernadetta felt like she was going to die.
As accustomed as she was with the loss of control over her body, the nausea threatening to let go of what she managed to eat stashed away in her room, now it was worse than usual,with her head spinning to the point she had to sit down in the grass to not fall down, her body overly tense and stuck while the smallest of noises reverberates in her head like the chimes of the monastery - oh goddess, she can’t breathe, she can barely notice the shade of green and white heading her way, saying something to her but her thoughts are so loud she can’t make up what they’re saying until the green and white shape is in front of her… and in a moment of clarity Bernie realizes the Archbishop herself saw her in such a pathetic state.
…on second thought, maybe death was better than this.
(Or: Rhea finds Bernadetta in the middle of a panic attack.)

Flayn is like the little sister Nel wanted to save. Rhea is like the mothers that Alear and Veyle miss so dearly. Seteth is like the father that Rafal would have liked to have. Alear is the bright-eyed leader Seteth wants to see in the future. Veyle is the strong young dragon who makes Rhea believe she can come back from any wrongs. Nel and Rafal are the ones who make Flayn believe that anything is possible. How strange a thought, that there could be such kinship between dragons from different worlds, but something about it occurs all the same. Does it matter, if one is Divine, or Fell, or Original? Or is it enough to simply exist, to be together?
The answer, if any of these dragons were to be asked, would be one simple word: Together.
