Summary
Trinity presses Yolanda back against the wall, mouth going to her neck, her lips then teeth on her pulse point. Yolanda arches into her, their hips grinding together.
"Bite me," she hisses, one hand going to Trinity's waist, the other to her jaw.
Don't have to tell me twice, Trinity thinks, and she obeys.

Trinity is a vampire. Yolanda is very into it.

Summary
Yolanda is the first person she's told in years. Trinity brings it up in a fumbling kind of way before they sleep together for the second time.
"I've got these, uh, old scars on my thigh," Trinity says, her heart already racing in her chest. She doesn't know if it's because of the conversation or because Yolanda Garcia is shirtless and sitting in her lap. "They're kind of ugly. I'm sorry about them."
Yolanda gives her the strangest look. "Do you think I care?" She says, and it's harsh but it also isn't, because Trinity believes her.

Summary
"I don't need her to be my girlfriend. Things are fine how they are."
"Are they, though?" Whitaker pressed. He seemed to have found his feet beneath him, like he'd brushed the solid ground beneath the metaphorical waves and gotten brave. Stupid of him, because Trinity was not having this conversation while they were surrounded by coffee hipsters and macrame plant hangers.

Summary
Trinity wasn't sure what possessed her to make her next move, other than the fact that when she was the one having nightmares, having Garcia there to hold her made all the difference in the world. It grounded her, anchored her in reality, and brought her back to the present.
So Trinity scooched across the couch, and she drew the sleeping Whitaker against her side. "Shh," she said absently as he slumped into her touch, his head tilting against her collarbone, arm slung across her torso. And maybe it was her tone, or the physical contact, or a combination of the two, but soon his expression smoothed out into the calm neutrality of sleep and his muttering subsided.
- or -
Whitaker gets nightmares. Trinity gets them too. Roommate cuddle piles are sometimes necessary (sometimes feat. bonus Garcia).

Summary
Whitaker continued to try and drop hints as Trinity drove them to work that perhaps she would benefit from taking a sick day. And she didn't know quite why she didn't listen to him; normally, the idea of holing up away from the eyes of her coworkers would be ideal.
Maybe it was just because she was feeling irritable and contrary, and giving in to Whitaker - or Garcia, who had texted her to check in, and who she had ignored - felt like giving up or admitting to weakness. And she was in full "man the battlements" mode this morning, like there were enemies at the gates and her walls needed to be bristling with the points of crossbows.

Whitaker brings home the flu and gives it to Trinity, who is not great at letting others look after her.
Too bad for her that her friends and coworkers do this for a living.

Summary
"Hey." Yolanda reaches out, lightly catching her elbow to stop her from working. "Seriously. Did I do something? Because if I did, I'd really prefer yelling over the silent treatment."
Trinity's mouth is suddenly desperately dry. "No, god, no. It's not— you didn't do anything."
"Then what is it?" Yolanda presses. There's a crease between her brows that Trinity feels bad for being the one to put it there. "We both finally have a couple of days off after today. I was kind of hoping I'd get to see my girlfriend somewhere that isn't work."

Summary
The cold hits them the moment the restaurant door swings shut. One second, Trinity is laughing, her breath warm in her chest, growing into a bubble of happiness she's keeping unexamined. The next, winter is clawing its way under her coat and down through the gap where her scarf isn't tucked in properly. The sidewalk is a patchwork of yellowing snow, blackened slush, and slick, glassy stretches where the city never quite got enough salt down.
Yolanda shifts automatically closer, like their bodies are homing beacons to each other. Her arm brushes Trinity's as they walk, a cautious nudge every couple of steps. "I told you to wear a thicker coat," she says when she catches the way Trinity immediately shudders against a gust of cold air.

Summary
Sakura bursts into tears.
This is perhaps the most alarming part. Nirei can count on one hand the amount of times he's seen Sakura cry and have fingers to spare. But here he is: sniffling and hiccupping as he wipes at his own face futilely, hiding behind his hands, and Nirei feels shaken, as if he's that anxious first-year highschooler all over again.
