Phainon stumbles along, too excitedly for someone in an university library. The hand around Mydei's waist is decidedly too close to slipping beneath Mydei's shirt for Castorice's comfort, but who is she to say anything about it? Mydei doesn't seem too uncomfortable by the way Phainon presses up against him, only shoving him aside when he's trying to get his laptop out.
"And you?" Hyacine kicks Phainon under the table, a firm thud that contorts Phainon's face into a pained wince.
"Emotional support?"
"Emotional distress is what you cause."
Phainon is interested in Mydei. Everyone but him realises.

Summary
Caelus was beneath him, long legs bent in what was surely an uncomfortable angle to accommodate the small space they were confined in. Dan Heng, on the other hand, loomed over him. He was forced onto all fours with his knees caging Caelus' waist, his hands pressed against the floor as he strained his arms in an effort to hold himself up so as to not crush Caelus with his weight.
It was getting hard to breathe. Dan Heng wasn't sure if it was due to the tiny space they were forced to share, or the fact that their faces were in such close proximity. The last time Dan Heng observed Caelus' face this closely was on the day they first met and March had urged him to do CPR.
(In which Dan Heng starts feeling strange, strange things towards a certain boy with the Stellaron.)

Anaxa accidentally opened a portal to an alternate universe, bringing five familiar kids to his room who called him by one name. “Father!”
Aglaea coincidentally walked by, ignoring each other as if neither of them stuck out like a sore thumb. Then the children whipped their heads at her direction and said, “Mother!”
She inclined her head, turned to him, and stared. Anaxa stared back, cursed inside his intellectual brain, and heard Cerces cackling at the background.

Cipher watches him for a long moment. The alleyway is very quiet, an owl hooting somewhere overhead. “You want me,” she repeats slowly, “to become the man you love… so you can confess to me.”
