    The exam room was silent for a long moment. Then – “Pregnant?”
    Helix’s eyes flicked to the screen and back. “Yes, sir. I’ll…take that as a no, sir.”

    Or: Obi-Wan is pregnant, to everyone's surprise. This...well, it doesn't exactly save the galaxy, but there are certainly consequences.

    Set a few weeks after the Rako Hardeen mission, Obi-Wan is still dealing with the consequences of faking his death. Anakin tries to avoid him at all costs but eventually the pair are forced to go on a mission together close to the Unknown Regions, the planet Morvahl calls for aid after a devastating earthquake and the Chancellor has so eagerly offered disaster relief. Once there, it becomes very clear they should not have come as they uncover a danger that could put the whole galaxy at risk and Anakin is at risk of actually losing Obi-Wan this time, but to something worse than death.

    Obi-Wan Kenobi had sent a message hoping to get aid for Melida/Daan. He expected the disappointed face of Master Jinn to step off the Jedi cruiser to retrieve him. He hadn't been expecting Jedi Master Plo Koon, newest seated member of the Jedi High Council.

    Plo Koon had often been told he missed his calling as a crechemaster, but he knew that the Force was pulling him into the wider universe. The day the Council received a comm from Melida/Daan, he felt like the Force was SCREAMING for him to go, and he would never think to ignore the Force.

    Or: Plo Koon is actually secretly Mandalorian and adopts everyone he can. And gets Obi-Wan therapy Sithdamnit.
