Into the wreckage, out of the rubble. He has built himself from the ground up, from broken pieces and the shattered remnants of memories, of mistakes, of sins. As hard as he has fought, as much as he has lost, he picks up the broken pieces, mends them back together with determination alone, holds them in place with hands that feel too small. Standing here, surrounded by the debris of everything he has built, he feels so weak, so weary, so hopeless.

“I know.” Levi’s voice is only a few meters away, and Erwin jumps. He looks up just in time to catch the little smirk lingering around Levi’s lips.

The spring semester always seems to drag out toward finals week. With the weather warming up, Erwin needs a little something to look forward to. Just as well, because Levi has a surprise for him.

Erwin likes teaching adult students, likes knowing he’s helping them reach their goals—even though he’s never had an adult student major in history. He likes the kids, of course; there’s no way he would have gotten into teaching if he didn’t love molding bright young minds, but there’s something special about giving a single mother an A on her first paper since high school, or watching a father graduate with his family in the crowd. Erwin always makes an extra effort to make himself available for non-traditional students. Lord knows he only got through his doctorate program because his advisors put in long hours.

Crowley has decided to give up on life in the city and move to the countryside. Aziraphale is intrigued by the new arrival in Pelican Town. Fluff ensues in such enormous quantities I am compelled by law to recommend a dental check-up after reading.
A series of Good Omens/Stardew Valley ficlets I've been posting on tumblr as I play through thunderheadfred's "Stardew Omens" mod (which replaces Harvey with Aziraphale as the town doctor). Knowledge of the game provides some additional context for the NPCs etc but really it's all about the ineffable farm romance here.
Note: E rating is for the end of chapter 4 only. The rest of the fic is all very tame.
