Jason Todd died in Ethiopia. Now he was back, readying his plans to kill his former family (Because they hadn't been able to save him. Because they hadn't killed his murderer and avenged his death. Because they'd moved on with their lives. Because someone evidently better was filling his old roles. Because...because he's nothing but a failure, and a zombie, and he misses them, and Everything HURTS, and, and, and.... AND HE JUST HATES EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE RIGHT NOW!
Unfortunately, for him, said plans didn't take into account the possibility of being dogged by the very last dead hero he'd have ever expected to fight him on it.A 'What If?' featuring multiple Jason Todds ( two of which play the Ghosts of Jasons' Past When It Was A Wonderful Life). Jason gets to see his family suffering over his death way more than any results his revenge plans could have ever accomplished...And finds out it doesn't feel as good as he thought it would. Plus, the image of The Joker keeps popping up and calling him son.

Wilson Fisk a ( mostly) law-abiding upper middle-class business owner, who may occasionally take matters into his own hands in ways the law might frown upon, only wants to keep his spouses and his community prosperous and safe. Which was impossible so long as Franklin 'Foggy' Nelson held power. Where Nelson and Murdock are in the upper tax brackets. Karen Page is the two lawyers' Personal Assistant/Secretary/Receptionist, shares the title of Lead Investor with the two Partners, is the Head of the firm's Administration Departments, and is their girlfriend, as well as possibly also being their (maybe murderous) bodyguard. And there was something just plain wrong with Matt Murdock.....

Summary
Escaping a death sentence, Captain Talon of the Guards and Aquila's most fortified dungeons, Jason the Redbird would vow never to steal again if he thinks that would have any effect on his own habits. Somehow, though, despite his best intentions, he finds himself escaping one nightmare only to fall straight into another. This one not only has a dark curse and a villain masquerading as a pope, but a man dressed all in black who travels by day with a hawk on his wrist and who by night is nowhere to be seen while a big black wolf prowls the shadows. Wayne is also grumpy, taciturn, strangely attached to his hawk, and a terrible conversationalist - Redbird can't quite decide which part of this whole mess is the worst.
Either way, once he's involved it seems Redbird might be the key to ending the curse and reuniting two lovers trapped by the darkness. It would be nonsensical romantic rubbish if it wasn't happening right in front of him.
Also known as: “Dick’s gone, and Bruce is naked and pining in the pit,” Jason reports, tearing into the bread Alfred holds out.
