The duke is a cold, forbidding man, who seems to want to remind Elizabeth that she is not allowed in certain spaces in his estate, but she is far too taken by his handsome features to be scared off for long.

Someone commented on Reddit about a fic they'd read where Lydia was abandoned by Wickham, and Darcy employed Lizzie as a "hostess" in London. I spent *hours* looking for it, and since I couldn't find it I started writing my own. This is the result.
Be aware that this fic revolves around sex work, social attitudes towards sex workers, and women (and girls - the youngest is 14) of the era being forced into sex work through circumstances beyond their control. As such there's a lot of trigger warnings, but since I strongly dislike torture scenes, there are very few explicit depictions of non-consensual activity.
ODC smut will come eventually but not for a long, long time. We've got a lot of pining to work through to get there, and when we do get there, there will rapidly be more pining but I promise an HEA.Copyright 2024, Alicia Wallace. Free-spirited artist Elizabeth is everything Darcy disapproves of, yet he finds himself captivated by her... and quite desperately attracted. Try as he might he can't stop himself from wanting her, or being drawn back again and again as she works on a mural for his new offices. He can't seem to stay away from her, or stay out of his own way in his attempts to connect with her.
When the consequences of Darcy’s actions bring the sexual tension between himself and Elizabeth to a head they both think that will be the end of it.
