Ragatha and Jax were known for their bickering.
There was a sort of routine to it - Jax would say or do something mean, Ragatha would call him out, they would argue.
It had always gone that way, neither of them straying from the same song and dance they had always participated in.
But it had all changed - their dynamic, their thoughts, their actions, their feelings - the second Ragatha had disrupted it.

“Awwww, if we do get vaporized, do you think they’ll find our bodies together?” Jax grinned and blinked rapidly, his dreamy tone making her non-button eye twitch.
Ragatha’s grip on her axe tightened. “Keep talking like that and I’ll show you what this axe does.”
Surprisingly, there was no remark, Ragatha looked at him in expectation but he quickly turned his back to her, he was suddenly very interested in exploring the room.
Such a weird guy.

“I’ve known Jax for years! I’m sure it'll be alright.”
Jax says nothing for a moment. His mouth is curved in a disinterested frown as he regards her expression, before it turns upwards. “Us? A team? That’s rich. You’re not usually one for jokes, Rags. They don’t suit you.”
“I’m… not joking Jax. I want to be in a team with you.”
He turns to face her. Her expression is full of hurt and frustration. Jax just rolls his eyes. “Just don’t get in my way.”

Katara grew bored of watching Sokka leaning in close and laughing with a stranger. A thought occurred to her, not for the first time, and she spoke it before she could wisely shut her mouth: “Maybe you should date Sokka.”
Toph’s eyebrows disappeared behind her fringe, but now that she’d said it, Katara doubled down.
“You two are always together anyway. And I know—” She turned to Toph and pointed a finger accusingly at her. “—I know, deep down, deeeep down, you love him.”
“Mmm.” She gave Katara a tight-lipped, ingenuous smile. “That’s cute. Sokka would never date me.”
“You don’t know that!”
Toph did know that, actually. He'd all but said it.

When Sokka gets a new girlfriend, his friendship with Toph falls to the side until it’s all but gone. Only when Toph’s plan for revenge pushes them past the tipping point do they realize what was really keeping them apart all along.

Ragatha—perfect, smiling Ragatha—finally picking up that gun and dropping the nice, smiling act. He shuddered excitedly at the bold idea. It certainly painted a pretty picture. What would it look like to see her crack? Always hiding behind that smile, she wouldn’t feel so torn anymore under his guidance. She’d finally understand how he’s survived all this time, how he’s stayed the most stable out of all of them. And if she saw it, then everyone else could.
This is an AU—what if Jax and Ragatha teamed up instead? Could be bunnydoll if you want, no explicit ships.

After a couple months, a new character enters the circus. A new doll. Who seems to immediately bond with Ragatha.
Jax doesn't like him. But why? It can't be feelings for Ragatha. Unless those feelings are hate.
Ragatha does like him... Except for this nagging feeling that she knows him. Somehow.
This new doll is going to teach them all about how they really feel, and maybe how their human counterparts feel too.

Ever since the adventure where they all got guns, Ragatha has noticed some changes in the group, specifically with Jax and Pomni’s friendship suddenly falling apart, no doubt Jax pushed Pomni away in some way. She knows she shouldn’t step in too much, but it wouldn’t hurt to try even a little right?
Even if Jax is an asshole he doesn’t deserve to be left alone, even if it’s self-inflicted isolation, and Pomni would be sad if things stayed like this. He’s just a big dumb fluffy bunny and he definitely won’t push her away from him this time!…hopefully, maybe…
Also what’s up with Zooble seeking out and pestering Caine all of a sudden? It’s probably not important

Jax’s annoyed grumbles turned into a silent stare. His ears perked up as his focus settled on the ragdoll in front of him. Pomni pursed her lips.
“Back it up for a moment- You two are married?”
OR Ragatha and Jax have an argument and it is up to Pomni to help her friends solve their issues by investigating the time before she was in the circus!
