Summary
The war is finally over. But not for Harry. He's been held captive and relentlessly tortured for so many months, the war has seeped into his bones. He'll never get away from it. Snape might have opened the door to his dungeon cell, but he will never be free. And the mediwitches might have healed his wounds, but the pain is in his bones now. He is broken beyond repair.
A year later, Harry is going through the motions, pretending to cope with his post-war life as a Senior Auror. He has everyone more or less fooled, until he is assigned Draco Malfoy as his new charge for interrogation and it starts to stir up memories and feelings Harry has worked really hard to bury in the last year.

After a few tumultuous teen years that have left Sirius and Remus with a lot of respective baggage as well as broken trust between them, graduation has left them at a bit of a crossroads. So when tragedy strikes, it looks like their relationship might end before it’s even had a chance to truly begin. But instead, it brings them closer together.
A Wolfstar “stand-alone” companion fic to the Nearly series, covering some of the missing scenes from Nearly (between the prologue and chapter one, as well as some scenes throughout the story) and Next, but from Remus’ and Sirius’ POV, as well as touching on moments from their past before Harry was born.
A note on the Nearly series:
In a Parallel Universe, where Sirius Black stays to take care of baby Harry instead of going after Pettigrew on Halloween 1988, Harry grows up as Sirius and Remus’s adopted son. When he starts Hogwarts, he is Sorted into Slytherin and befriends Draco Malfoy. What starts as innocent puppy love gradually takes a more serious turn, as the boys grow up amid a brewing second wizarding war with their families on opposite sides.

1.
In a parallel reality, Sirius Black never chases after Peter Pettigrew the night the Potters are killed, but instead stays to take care of Harry. He ends up adopting him and raising him together with his partner Remus Lupin. A small change that has a ripple effect on Harry's personality and life.
