Don’t. Don’t. God, please, don’t. The part of his mind that he was trying so, so hard to ignore was nearly deafening now. It was the only part of him that was trying desperately to keep him from learning something that would doom him.
His finger rested a little more firmly on the trigger. He just had to work up the nerve.
A single knock on the door jolted him out of his thoughts. He didn’t have a chance to react before the door opened.

He hasn't. He hasn't, but somehow, it feels wrong to admit the truth, like his lack of portability is a liability, a weakness, compared to other… handheld-friendly pieces of tech. (He won't say modern, he won't.)
"Ah, well, I face away from the windows… But Elnina and Lanino are my eyes in the sky, haha! I know a sunny day when I hear one! Heard one, heard 'em all, right?" Tenna laughs weakly, screen dimming.
