John was incapable of forming words because he was too distracted by the beads of sweat rolling down Rodney’s neck. By the thrum of his pulse that John could practically see there. By the darkening of his shirt collar, damp with sweat. He swallowed in an attempt to make his voice work but only accomplished tasting Rodney’s scent which was not helpful.
