The dream had been a continuation of the last one she'd glimpsed. A young boy with aristocratic features wearing a fancy school uniform. A gun glinting under the fluorescent lights of a classroom. Children screaming and clambering under tables. The bodies of those that weren't fortunate enough to make a quick getaway. Blood blooming across white buttoned shirts and spoiling blue blazers. The alarm bell droning on and on and on in the background.
She'd watched as a bullet tore the boy's shirt in half. She'd watched as he fell out of his chair and slumped to the ground, as lifeless as all the other children. She'd watched as the gunners left the classroom, triumph visible in every line of their bodies. She'd watched as he jerked back to life, the bullet pushing through his skin and bouncing off his thigh. She'd watched as he stared at the bodies surrounding him. She'd watched as something inside him fractured and broke.
She hadn't wanted to watch anymore.

Summary
When attempting to time travel at thirteen, Five manages to land himself at the end of a different world than his own. Meanwhile, Klaus has been surviving alone, barely holding the grief and ghosts and monsters at bay. He didn't expect to be suddenly met with a thirteen-year-old version of the brother he buried years ago, but whatever, he's adaptable. And he's going to keep Five alive until he can get back to his own universe. Whatever it takes.

Klaus had declared himself in need of modern-day takeout, Allison following him hastily when everyone expressed concern over what Klaus’ idea of a gourmet meal might entail. Luther volunteered to be the first to brave the shower. Five, on the other hand, had been bundled into an armchair the second they all fell into the motel room and forbidden from moving on pain of rumours.
Set post-season two, in a crappy motel room with six siblings hiding out from the rest of the world.

“I don’t know man,” Diego says, frustrated. “I’m not a doctor, or a space-jumping expert. All I know is that he pushed himself too far, but he said he was fine- or would be fine with some time and rest.”
Five frowns. Did he say that? He doesn’t recall that conversation. He’s not sure why he would say something like that to Diego, either. It doesn’t feel like he’s getting better in the slightest. If anything, he’s probably getting worse—“Then fucking say that!” Diego snaps loudly, startling Five. “For God’s sake, Five, I’m trying to help you over here! You think I’m having the time of my life sitting here and watching you like this?”
