“And…” Lance pauses for dramatic effect. “Our comm spec is named Pidge Gunderson and he’s tiny,” he rushes out excitedly.
“Wait, tiny compared to you?”
“No, he’s literally like five feet tall,” Lance explains.
Hunk cocks his head. “You know this how?”
Lance wiggles his fingers teasingly in Hunk’s general direction. “A little birdie told me.”

Summary
The old-fashioned radio rests on the kitchen windowsill, surrounded by small plants and recipe boxes. Through the windowpane, the city bustles. Fog and haze blur the buildings slightly, and the setting sun creates a golden halo around the tallest ones. Further in the distance are mountains and the sea, equally stunning but much harder to see in the fading light.
Shay can see all of this from their little apartment window, and gapes the way she did the first time and every time after that. This, all of this, is ours, she thinks. Full of love and full of life. She smiles fondly and reaches for the radio.

Who is he? And what is he doing in Keith’s (admittedly cluttered) office?
“What are you doing here?” he asks, with a hint of poison and his trademark who-do-you-think-you-are eyebrow arch.
The guy shrinks back a little, clearly confused and, Keith hopes, a little intimidated. “I, uh, was looking for this X Files thing? Supposed to meet down here, in a tiny basement?”
“You’re in the right place.”
Navy Blue, as Keith is now calling him, seems to relax, putting more of his weight on the doorway and shifting his box to a one-handed grip. “Oh, good, I was worried I had the wrong ominously-marked supply closet.”
Alternatively: Lance is a skeptic. Keith is a believer. What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
Lance’s eyes are closed, the tilt of his neck leaving it bare and sharply elegant. His hair flops into his face, and his eyelashes are surprisingly long. Freckles are splashed across his cheeks and nose, telling a story of sunlight. When his eyes flicker open, the brilliant blue catches Keith off guard, the stars of the planetarium reflected in the blue like the moon in the ocean.
Alternatively:
Lance gets homesick, Keith is working on the whole "emotions" thing, and Hunk just wants everyone to be okay.
