You crave the fear in your prey’s eyes, you crave their pleas like you are a God that is supposed to be benevolent but you are in fact the Devil that bares his wicked crown. Then, then the cycle changes. You meet prey you are ready to make succumb to the same fate but the prey grins and beckons you over, pulling your pretty long blue hair and welcoming your teeth into it’s neck and whispering your name so beautifully it sounds like music that not even Harmony’s Aeon could match.

It sounds…well, it's no doubt due to the language barrier, but to 'measure' someone's 'devotion' sounds almost like something to ask a lover, or someone who's hand you're asking for in marriage. "I'd be willing to do most anything to prove my devotion to the cause."
"You have proven your strength of character, and you did not pass out in the throne room, which proves your perseverance," The prince acquiesces, and he pauses slightly at the small side table, strong back turned to Phainon. "I just…am, ah…curious, about…what else you interested in doing…while you are a guest in my home."
the democratic republic of okhema requires assistance from the kingdom of castrum kremnos to stay the black tide. phainon is sent by lady aglaea to beg boons of their crown prince—he proposes a partnership, a sort of political 'marriage' of their lands until the cancer inhabiting the lands is quelled with their joined strength.

It's a solid statement, laced in pure honesty. He's always able to speak like this with Dan Heng, so confident that he'll come crawling back anyway.

"So why don't you accept it? Use my strength." He pleads as his eyes drop to the bandaged wound on Dan Heng's arm.
Dan Heng's eyes lift to Ren's, his eyebrows knitted together. "And what if I asked you to use it on yourself? Would you do it then?"
