Summary
“You are still a Watcher,” Myrna says. She's as calm as ever. “If-”
“You said I have to agree to something,” Rook says in a low tone, suddenly remembering.

Summary
A long-fingered hand slipped into Rook’s own. Emmrich hadn’t even skipped a beat talking, but when Rook looked up towards him in surprise, Emmrich’s mustache twitched upwards in…good gods, was that a smirk? Rook’s face grew hot.
Eyes forward, soldier.
------
A cozy little vision of the romance between Emmrich and Rook - the moments of domesticity we never got to see, teased out with some fun backstory tweaks. A little smut here and there!
