Summary
“You’re late,” Laurent frostily pronounced, when the latecomer had come to a standstill at the sight of him. “Fifteen minutes,” he continued, glancing at his watch, and the man in the doorway shook himself and smiled helplessly.
“Sorry,” said a smoky, deep voice, curling and settling into his stomach. The man’s gaze felt warm, as it drifted down and back up. There was a hint of obstinance in his look, softened with a startlingly flirtatious gleam.
“...sir,” the honeyed voice punctuated, after an uncomfortable moment.
A millenium ago, Vere and Akielos were enemies. Two crown princes, destined to be foes, had instead forged an unprecedented and monumental alliance. Their story, recounted in the poem The Lauread, incited the popular uprisings that birthed the Artesian Union.
This semester, Laurent D'Vert is determined to:
-endure as the TA for a class on this epic,
-figure out his PhD proposal (or else),
-resist his attraction to the horribly handsome Akielon in his class, and
-discover just why he's been getting such vivid dreams of someone else's memories.(A college AU reincarnation fic with inspiration from Achilles and Patroclus)

Summary
The prophecy says one will come to bring the dragons back, and he will be half made of myth himself.
Once at peace, the nations of Akielos and the Winter Islands are on-edge. Damen, the Crown Prince of Akielos, has been sent to the once-great island of Vere to retrieve a prince, honour a promise, and prevent a war before it can begin. In a burning palace he finds Laurent, born to prophecy and cut off from the world—it was once said he would bring magic back, but grey runs the water in Vere these days, as summer slips away. Laurent's uncle warns that the prince has grown dangerous, and Damen doesn't know what there's left to believe in.

Summary
“I’m sure you’re thinking that I should have known better than to make a bargain with a Siren,” he said with a rueful smile. “And you’d be right. I should have. But getting off that island, and the promise of finding my father’s murderer… the pull was too strong, and I was weak. I didn’t even ask what the cost would be. I agreed.”
Laurent had not looked away from him once since he had begun talking, his attention a nearly-physical weight upon Damen’s skin. “And what did it cost?” Laurent asked softly.
Damen stared at him. “Everything,” he finally said. “It cost me everything.”

When Damen is cursed by a Siren in exchange for the revenge his heart desperately desires, his life is thrown into chaos, and betrayal lurks around every corner. Despite his better judgment, he allows a beautiful young man to seek berth on his ship, not knowing that he has granted refuge to the one man who has every reason to want him dead. Laurent may be the key to breaking Damen's curse, and Damen could help restore Laurent to his throne—but if they have any hope of helping each other, they will have to untangle their bitter pasts first.- Language:
