This year however, one unit has been branded with an eight strand brand, as well as soul marks. Will cadets Abigail Bellweather, Tally Craven and Raelle Collar rise to their potential? Or will the Bellweather Unit fail? General Alder's brand is somehow affected by the Call this year, as is the cursed scar she has carried since the day she called her storm upon men. Two lost witchlings survive a spree attack and find their way to Fort Salem and the home they never knew existed. Summary
When a zombie virus outbroke 25 years ago, Sarah Alder led a group of survivors to an abandoned military base known as Fort Salem. While having no actual military background, Sarah quickly becomes known as The General and eventually turns Fort Salem into the biggest and safest settlement in the New England area. Tally Craven makes her way there after her mother dies, and quickly realizes that there may be more to the General than meets the eye- and more to the virus.
