Rumi looks down. “Your soul,” she whispers mournfully, enraptured by the blue light trickling out of his chest. “It’s beautiful.”
Jinu smiles.
Gently, he presses his forehead against hers. Rumi jolts, eyes widening, but to his relief, she doesn’t pull away.
“My soul,” he echoes softly. “It’s yours, now.”
Rumi opens her mouth, but no words escape her as she gapes at him. A tear cascades down her cheek.
“It’s mine to give, and yours to take, if you’ll have me.” His vision is blurring, and so he lets his eyes fall shut, allowing the darkness to encompass him. He forces himself to believe that the lull of sleep is accepted of his own volition.
His cheeks tingle. Rumi is holding onto his face. “No, no, no—” she grits out. Her voice is growing distant. “Stop. You can’t do this to me.” The words rush out of her in a frenzy, full of haste and distress. “Jinu.”
“Rumi,” he responds in a broken murmur. “Thank you.”
She was right. Gwi-Ma could be defeated.
He should have listened to her.
(Or: A fix-it/time-travel au where Jinu goes back to the very beginning of the story and sets things right.)

just finished the series for the first time last night and i was looking for something to sink my teeth into. every word was worth it, honestly, it's so goddamn brilliant. i wouldn't have known that S7 was so widely debated until i got back on the boards but i wouldn't complain if this was its replacement in the grand scheme of things. recommendation level is very high.

this right here is the pinnacle of bnha excellence, i'll be the first to say it. not because of the OT3 or the fact that it's bnha, but the heart and soul in every chapter make it something you want to hold onto and never let go. there's been a few times where my eyes have brimmed with tears because of how raw it is, and that's why i'd keep coming for more. recommendation level is EXTREMELY high.

It sounds crazy, but it works.
"Ah, young love. Enjoy the honeymoon phase while it lasts!" A deep voice calls out.
The warm face at his neck moves back, and Eijriou struggles to keep him upright as those legs have yet to move from around him. The cute stranger's voice is tight with what sounds like mild frustration.
"Actually, we've been together for years!"
Oh, that's the game plan? Cool, Eijirou rocks at improv.
Eijirou goes to the airport single and depressed, but leaves happy and engaged to a stranger?

aw man this is so precious...and just in time for the fall holidays lmao. i'm a sucker for the fake/pretend relationship trope but this really takes the cake for me. two of my favorite ships interacting so splendidly (and in character imo, i might add), i couldn't help but fall in love w this fic. recommendation level is high.
