March sat up straighter. “Wait, wait, wait. You’re telling me there’s an entire world that *isn’t* dealing with interstellar nonsense? No overpowered space corporations, no Aeons randomly influencing fate, no—wait.” She squinted at the screen. “Does that say *elemental energy*?”
Himeko nodded, a small smirk forming. “That’s the only thing we know about it. Apparently, it runs on an energy system completely different from anything else we’ve encountered. Not the Path, not the Fragmentum, not even ether. Just… something else. In fact, the name Teyvat was only made known due to a random signal sent out by that planet with its name amber eras ago.”
Dan Heng stared at the data, his fingers tapping absently against the table. “That’s unusual. Even if the Aeons don’t directly interfere, every world is shaped by them in some way. A planet with no signs of aeonic influence at all? There’s no precedent for that.”
“The IPC wanted to investigate Teyvat but suddenly stopped due to unknown reasons. It could be dangerous to go to Teyvat,” Welt pointed out, his mind lost in thought.
March grinned. “Which means we *have* to go, right?”

Summary
There are many things about Kaitou KID, some good, many bad. One of these things is that his true identity is unknown to all (besides a VERY select few). But when a seemingly innocent video gets uploaded to YouTube, that might not be the case anymore. With everything out in the open, Kuroba Kaito must try to mend his relationships and defend himself in the court of law, on top of continuing to go about his daily life (lives).

There will be inconsistent updates but I PROMISE unless I flat-out say it, it's not been dropped and I will try my best to finish it before the end of the year. There will probably be somewhere between 10 and 20 chapters, just a heads up.
Also, gonna say this up-front, I don't use "tantei," "keibu," or any "-san" "-han" or "-kun," but I still say "Kaitou KID" instead of "Phantom Thief KID" because I love being inconsistent and Kaitou KID rolls off the tongue so much better in my opinion

“So, KID, how’s it going?”, Officer Sasaki said conversationally. Kid looked up from where he was shortcutting the cables for the electricity of the building— Damnit, they should’ve had more guards than just him there— and without missing a beat replied—
“Very well, actually!”, KID said cheerfully as ever. “Though I’m unsure what you’re trying to achieve by asking about my progress with the electricity when you can see me doing it!”
“I didn’t mean the electricity.”, Sasaki clarified. “I meant like, in life! How’s sch—“ SHIT “— the job going?” KID froze for a second, so as a distraction Sasaki quickly tacked on : “Do you have a job? I honestly can’t imagine anything that would fit you— Except maybe Magician? But that’d be a bit too obvious, wouldn’t it?”
or : the fic in which the task force has ten heart attacks, Snake gets arrested for about a day and it turns out that suing the parents of a phantom thief is impossible. Not in that order.

Summary
“What, I know you or somethin’?” Chuuya asked.
Briefly, a look rushed over Dazai Osamu’s face— an emotion so quick, Chuuya couldn’t put a name to it. Then, his face mellowed out into a smile that had Chuuya itching for a fight; that screamed I think I’m the smartest person in the room, with just enough smugness and condescension to really rile him up.
“No,” Dazai said and looked weirdly vulnerable, like he was admitting some big secret. “No, you don’t.”
Or: the fight against the DOA ends badly for everyone involved. Now, the only person capable of ending everything before it even happens, would rather be dead and buried alongside his friends than deal with time travel of all things. Worse, when whatever adverse reaction No Longer Human had to the book has burned Dazai off the timeline as a whole.
