Summary
Gon and Killua have been best friends since middle school. Now in their fourth and last year of high school, they've each tried dating plenty of other people. Briefly, awkwardly, and always with weird emotional fallout neither of them can explain.
One day, after Gon's latest breakup, he sighs and jokes:
"Maybe we're just supposed to end up together or something."
Killua laughs it off-but the joke sticks in both their heads.
