Summary
Buck keeps him everywhere. He’s smuggling him into every inch left vacant, because like this, he doesn’t lose him, won’t lose him. Like this, he gets to keep Eddie forever, even if it’s just the pieces and the memories attached. The reminder of him will haunt him and this apartment like a ghost. Because Buck can’t trap him in his apartment and force him to stay, he’d never ask that, couldn’t ask that, but he’s going to damn well do his best to salvage it in some form. He’s kidnapping Eddie’s shadow, no matter how much it hurts, and there’s no choice about it.
Eddie announces he’s leaving. Buck, naturally, begins a slow descent to madness.
[ALT. summary: Buck has resolved to be the greatest friend ever. He’s handling this move so well. And not at all being abnormal about Eddie’s house. Or Eddie’s belongings. Or, well. Eddie.]

Summary
“I feel fucking explosive, Buck. Like I’m about to go off at any second. I don’t want you caught in my mess.”
His eyes sting. At the very least, Buck contains the sound of it in his voice. “Eddie, I don’t know if you’ve noticed,” he replies, “but I already am.”
Eddie self-implodes. Christopher, seeking refuge, flees to Buck—whose priorities amount to, in varying order: take in the kid, get Eddie to talk to him, and keep the three of them afloat in the process. (Oh, and Tommy’s there too. He thinks.)

Summary
Watching Patrick serve, the ferocity in it, how alive he still felt across from him—no, Patrick isn’t dead to him, and Art isn’t dead inside at all. Miraculously, Patrick has managed to harness that spirit still flickering deep within, the one that’s been wilting, that dying spark.
Afterward, in the hotel room, there’s a shift.

“I’m so happy,” she says into his neck, and he closes his eyes. He feels sick with relief, but at the back of his mind there’s a wicked sense of dread that itches to crawl over his skin.

they are seriously everything. i'm not usually one to bother reading first person pov fic, but given the book material it really worked in this. also, their personalities and relationships were really depicted perfectly.

Summary
Conrad's texts arrive at odd hours, slipping into her phone while she sleeps. Belly's voice notes play in his sterile kitchen as he makes coffee, her laughter bouncing off surfaces too clean, too empty.
If there are infinite worlds, every version of me chooses you, Belly told him on that speeding train to Brussels, still catching her breath.
In the spaces between, they create them.(between Paris and Palo Alto, Belly and Conrad begin a game where they get to choose each other again and again)

Bookmarker's Notes
such gorgeous writing. i love the little multiverse roleplay going on here, combined with the insecurities that might come with it; it's so them.
