Summary
Law lives in a city near the ocean where sirens frequent the waters near the shores. When a siren is sighted, it’s supposed to be reported, but Law has been seeing the same siren for six months and never reported him. The siren is named Luffy, and every week on the same day, Luffy comes to the same little cove on the beach just to see Law. Every once in a while, Luffy will sing, trying to entice Law into the water, but it’s somehow never strong enough to actually get Law in the water. Eventually, Law learns something interesting. In siren courting, a siren will sing to court anyone who captures their interest and if that person loses it to their song, they get eaten. If they don’t the siren makes them into a siren too, to be together forever. So Law wonders if that’s what Luffy’s doing, and starts to grapple with the question of whether he could truly leave his whole life behind if Luffy really is courting him.

Summary

Summary

It’s obvious when he thinks about it, it’s just… well, why would he have been thinking about that before?
It’s a realization that spurred butterflies to swarm in his chest, and they haven’t subsided since. It’s had him bouncing off the walls of the Sunny, tapping his feet anxiously by the transponder snail, and at the moment: moping over the side of the boat.
He hates it.
