Summary
What if Dean left Sam at Stanford after the fire, hoping it would keep his little brother safe and make things better? Somehow, 'better' never seems to be in the Winchester Family cards. Sam gets tangled up with his ex-roommate Brady, tracking psychics, but dealing with demons is never honest business. Dean carries on until his father is put in grave danger. He is left on his own to deal, stumbling into Harvelle's Roadhouse for help, where Dean gets just a little more than he bargained for. Eventually, the brothers’ paths twist and turn their way back to each other, but the results could mean the End of Days.

Summary
A blink of eyes and another shaky breath, always so shaky. The ability of being able to be grounded to this surreal reality was one he had lost years ago.
Sam Winchester looked into the eyes of the devil and he felt himself slip away.
He wasn’t afraid of Lucifer, he was afraid of what Lucifer could do to him.
And so Sam tried to bring himself back to the fractured world, the one where his brother always shot him worried glances, where Cas looked at him forlornly and where they’d just been told that Lucifer was evoking the original plan of Sam being the Boy King of Hell.

Summary
Dean's escaped from Purgatory and ready to get back to normal. He just wants to find his brother and travel the country together, killing monsters and occasionally stopping apocalypses. Life can be perfect again, especially since Sam's newfound coping mechanism of avoiding stressful situations (like Dean yelling at him) jibes perfectly with his own long-standing method of ignoring everything he can't deal with (like Sam not looking for him) until the occasional whiskey-fueled violent outburst.
But Crowley's organized all of hell after them, and he's not giving up. They're fighting demons one day and angels the next, and frankly, Dean's tired of not knowing what the hell's going on. Former allies-and friends-are turning on them. Crowley claims Sam stole something from him, and when Castiel shows up, he tries to put a blade through Sam's chest, screaming 'abomination' the whole time.
What the hell happened happened while he was in Purgatory?
Season 8 AU. Spoilers through S13.

With a sound like a giant bubble bursting, Harry vanished – ripping a chunk of the fence and the earth beneath him into a swirling void.

Or: Harry never apparates to the top of the school roof in a feat of accidental magic. Instead, he rips through time and space and – after a few twists and turns – lands squarely in the metaphorical lap of a Dark Lord in his prime, becoming Voldemort’s least favourite plot twist.
Tom, however, eventually comes to appreciate the pint-sized troublemaker he has been saddled with.
