Summary
There’s something Jaheira’s not saying. “What happened to his last handler?” asks Gale.
“The last four, you mean?” The rueful curve of her smirk deepens the crow’s feet around her eyes. It makes her seem younger, somehow. “The first died. The second went missing. The last two quit. You’ll be fine.”
In a Faerûn where magic is slowly diminishing, disgraced former Chosen of Mystra Gale Dekarios survives in Baldur's Gate as a Harper alchemist, tending their greenhouses and nursing the Netherese orb in his chest—until his High Harper forces him into fieldwork.
His first assignment? A vampire spawn informant with a crooked touch, dreams of ruin and vengeance, and a hunger to rival his own.

The first thing he sees is the steaming breakfast in front of him. The next is Gale of Waterdeep.
“Not you,” Rolan groans.
Or, an Act II remix where Gale and Rolan can't escape each other's orbit.

Summary
Gale tried again. “I—yes,” he said, finally. “This might be my last night alive. You’re right.”
“I’m not right,” sniffed Astarion. “I don't approve of the idea. I’m onto you. There’s a difference.”
The night before they reach Moonrise Towers, Gale's simulacrum fetches Astarion from his tent. He doesn't come quietly.

Summary
He remembers the blood running into Tav’s eyes. It was beautiful, even after he realized what he’d done. One drop trailed all the way to the corner of his mouth. It moved in soft, endless shapes: you still with me, Astarion?
“So you just knew to find me,” he says dully, not bothering to make it a question. “Like one of those drab little pigeons.”
Astarion's day leaves him a little raw, and needling at Tav—in more ways than one—turns the aftermath into more than he bargained for.

Summary
Cursed by a hag, the Vampire Ascendant has lost his heart. Not to worry; he wasn't using it, and the curse will be broken when someone falls in love with him of their own free will. Baldur's Gate is crawling with restless spirits just waiting to be resurrected and given a trial run as his consort, and if one of them won't do, this helpful ghost might.
(The ghost, meanwhile, is more concerned with reorganizing his library.)

Summary
“You did,” Gale hums, somewhere between bemused, offended, and aroused.
“Yes, I did,” Rolan teases, and he kisses Gale again, wet and messy.
“It’s certainly one of the more... creative uses of levitation I’ve ever seen,” Gale comments, breathy, when they part.
Five spells Gale & Rolan brought to the bedroom, and one magic free night.

Summary
Astarion drinks the wrong potion and inadvertently turns into a weak and helpless bat. Shadowheart loves animals, and the bat loves her, so that's fine. Then he turns back and starts throwing a tantrum about it, which would also be fine -- except that Shadowheart is not fine.

Summary
Astarion wants the sun. He wants to bask in the light of dawn, unafraid and unharmed; let it kiss him and not burn; let its light be his private joy, not his fear. How exhausting it is, to be afraid of something he loves so desperately.
It turns out the feeling is mutual.
Astarion's quest to see the sun again triggers multiple religious (and romantic) crises.
~
Note on romantic content (setting expectations): Bloodweave takes center-stage in terms of screen time, and the Astarion/Lathander relationship tag is the stage the boys are struggling to survive on. Shadowheart often mediates everyone's experience with love and the gods, for better or worse.
