Norman wishes he could say it’s because he’s a good man, or because the metal in his brain was fucking with his real personality. He wishes he could pretend that underneath, there was always something worth saving. It’s just not the truth. Skip will see through any lies anyways; hard to get away with that shit when somebody can literally feel your physiological responses. It’s not worth the attempt; to be honest, Norman is sick and tired of people pretending he can be redeemed. Instead, he lets Skip feel the truth, and the entirety of it. He lets the dam break, feels Skip recoil at the wash of fear that follows.
