Summary
Dr. Elizabeth Bennet is settling in quite happily as the only veterinarian in Bright Hope, New Jersey. Fitzwilliam Darcy is the loyal owner of a well-trained middle-aged American Staffordshire Terrier with an unfortunate taste for expensive Godiva chocolates--lots of them. Factor in a Beagle with separation anxiety, a fastidious cat, a horse who cannot stop farting, a gang of inept thieves, and--oh, no--Icky Wicky. We might wonder if these two will ever find happiness.
This is based on the much shorter "Ham to the Slaughter" which I posted a little over a year ago. This one will be book length.
