**THIS FIC IS BEING REWORKED**
Xie Lian is trapped in an abusive relationship that he wants out of but has no one to fall back to after years of careful isolation.
A chance encounter gives Xie Lian a chance to reach out for help, a stranger seems to take notice of the dynamic of their relationship while shopping and Xie Lian is determined to subtly coax the stranger into helping, giving him all the evidence he would need to help.
Just as Xie Lian is about to give up on his knight in shining armor helping him, someone comes knocking looking for him.
A car chase and unfortunate accident later, Xie Lian is free, but there's more to his savior than meets the eye.

“Your highness?” it was nothing more than a whisper, but it scared Xie Lian to his core. He screamed, whipping his head in the voice’s direction.
There, between the legs of dozens of unimpressed pedestrians, stood a man wearing crimson clothes.
Blood. There was blood everywhere. Xie Lian could only see seas of red. He had found him.
Before another word could escape the youth’s mouth, Xie Lian scrambled away, fear itching itself to his skin. A raw, curling scream roared out of his throat.
But then, darkness embraced the poor man, leaving the crimson-clothed stranger alone, with Xie Lian sprawled in his solid and protective arms.
TLDR: Xie Lian navigates divorce, loneliness and PTSD while learning to love and trust others.

Summary
Under the bright stage lights, Xie Lian struck his final pose. His arms were outstretched in a graceful gesture, while he was up on his tiptoes, one leg in front of the other. His chest heaved and sweat dripped down his brow. While he was exhausted, he couldn't help but smile broadly at the audience.
The crowd roared with cheers as roses and bouquets were thrown onto the stage. People stood to give him a grand standing ovation, and Xie Lian broke his pose to give a huge bow. He took a step to the side as his cast mates came on stage to take their own bows. Xie Lian clapped along with the crowd, but refrained from hollering and whooping. He remained graceful and professional as the bows continued.Or, he was a punk, he did ballet. What more can I say?
