Summary
Five Pebbles dies, and then wakes again.
Bugs that walk and talk with god-given sapience, and an orange rot that’s spread throughout the entire facility grounds. What iterator could be so irresponsible as to let such an experiment waste away? On who’s grounds has he landed?
He is no bug, and this is no maze. Oh, what is a machine to do?
(in the meanwhile, the bugs look at this creature- pink, long, with too-rigid antennas and no mandibles to speak with yet so many things to say, and they see a remnant of their king. They do not realize that perhaps his kind are closer to vessels than to gods.)
TL;DR: angry calculator god in a world of bugs. Assumptions are made.

He thinks about Sephiroth’s words right before Nibelheim. He wonders, had he left ShinRa, would things have gone differently? Would ShinRa have allowed him to leave? Would ShinRa have allowed Zack to leave?
He mulls over hundreds of different scenarios, on the thousands of things he could’ve done differently, on all the things he would’ve changed if he had known, if he had the chance.

Iterators do not die, they do not collapseーor so that's how it was supposed to be, anyways. Yet, as Spearmaster makes their way into the outer expanse on the long journey back to their creator, they bear silent witness to the inevitable death of a god, in all it's cataclysmic glory.
