Summary
Lan Wangji finds himself huffing out a soft laugh despite the nausea of seeing someone’s - Nie Huaisang’s? Jiang Cheng’s? - lust-filled portrait of his uncle. And then he sees the red text and immediately recognises the handwriting and realises with dawning horror that this is Wei Wuxian’s drawing. Wei Wuxian’s hand that has lovingly sketched the roundness of his uncle’s nose, the broadness of his shoulders and the sharpness of his jaw.
The humour and nausea is joined with other emotions: horror, disgust and for some ungodly reason, jealousy.

“I would’ve died without you,” Wei Wuxian says, tries to sound casual but falls short. “You saved me. Even if you don’t make it to the Relief Hub, there’ll be people who need you elsewhere.”
Lan Wangji makes a little non-committal noise in the darkness. They’d argued about it before: Lan Wangji thought that scooping Wei Wuxian up from the pavement and tending to his wounds in the back of that car was the least he could do. Wei Wuxian wished he had let him die.

Summary
The Yiling Wei Sect was a name banded around when the community was just the young, old and ill, when Wei Wuxian was just a young man without a core and running on nothing but the desire to keep these people safe. Taking the Wens to the Burial Mounds was not a way to make his own sect but to keep them safe.
It doesn't start to feel like a 'sect' - or even a home - until Lan Wangji visits, sees the devastation, rolls up his sleeves and gets to work.

This is a remix of the thread fic by twit user @theannetics where cisswap Wei Ying and Lan Zhan reunite (and get together) at pride. This fic takes place at pride the following year.

“Please,” Nie Huaisang said with a wave of his hand, the bangles on his arm rattling like a warning, “tell your man he’s harshing my vibe.”
Wei Ying sputtered halfway through a sip of Bubly at the words your man and shot a glare at Nie Huaisang, who cowardly refused to meet his eyes.
Nervously, Wei Ying slid his gaze sideways towards Lan Zhan, only to find him thankfully unruffled. He was still sitting rigidly upright, peering down at Nie Huaisang with thinly veiled judgment.
Wei Ying was cursed by a growing awareness that agreeing to a last-minute smoke sesh with his two closest friends—one of whom he was in love with, and the other, acutely aware of that fact—was, perhaps, not the smartest decision in his fragile state.
