Summary
One year. That's all the time Thoma has given himself to see if he can get his passion project- a tattoo shop that combines the traditional tattoo art styles of Mondstadt and Inazuma- off the ground. Summary
Khaen'rian forces have invaded Mondstadt, and the time has come for Kaeya to make the choice he has been dreading his entire life- the people that are his by birth, or the family and the home he has made for himself.
But Kaeya's birth father has no intention of letting Kaeya choose Mondstadt, and his forces capture both Kaeya and Diluc, torturing the latter in front of the former to send a message- side with us or we will do the same to everyone you care about.

Summary
If Kaeya had just TOLD Diluc that Thoma would come to visit a week before he actually did, maybe Diluc would've been calmer when Thoma arrived. Similarly, if Ayato and Ayaka had told Thoma he'd be shipped off to Mondstadt for Windblume, he'd probably have been more prepared.
Or basically everyone knows Diluc and Thoma are in love with eachother besides themselves.

When Thoma relented to this vacation this was really not how he saw it ending.
Not with him standing on the docks of Liyue Harbor, staring out across the sea to the home he'd been locked out of. With hardly any mora to his name, all that's left for him to do is return to the place he once called home and hope to find work and a place to rest while he waits for Inazuma's boarders to open.
But the last place he thought his abruptly extended visit to Mondstadt would lead him to would be the doorstep of Dawn Winery.Series

It's hard, but Thoma can admit that he often prioritizes his work over his own wellbeing. So he takes it in stride when Ayato and Ayaka fire him, when they have him leave Inazuma entirely, and even when he discovers that his new job is to take care of a winery owner's seven children. He trusts that his friends want the best for him, and he trusts that their plan will benefit everybody in the long run.
Falling in love, however, was never part of the plan.
