“It’s pretty late,” Conner said, doing his best to be gentle. Jon blinked up at him and hummed incoherently, “You wanna piggyback ride?” He stopped walking, pausing in front of a darkened storefront. Jon looked at him and glared.
“M’ not a toddler,” Jon insisted, rubbing his eyes in a very childlike manner. He sniffled and yawned.
“Don’t gotta be for a piggyback ride,” Conner shrugged easily, “Nightwing gets one from the Flash all the time.” He chuckled to himself at the mental image.
