‘Y- y’know…’ Midoriya finally looked away, cheeks darkening. There was an almost wistful smile on his lips. ‘I used to have the biggest crush on you in high school.’
Shoto inhaled sharply and his eyes widened; the aged scar tissue around his left eye pulled taut. His heart hammered against his chest with a ferocity rivalling a gruelling villain fight, while all the tension rose to his head, which suddenly felt too small for all the pressure.
And then Midoriya laughed awkwardly—as if the mere idea of such a thing was ludicrous. Shoto, usually one to welcome the sound, felt nauseous.

"SHUT UP!” Maki finally let out, holding her polearm out, her left leg being pulled back to balance herself, “Stop talking, and just fight me!”
“No,” Suguru continued to speak calmly, which did nothing but anger her more. “Please, just explain to me what’s wrong, and we can figure this out–”
With a scowl, she dropped her arm. “Wow.” She said softly, scoffing as she started to turn around, keeping her gaze on him.
“I thought you would’ve loved to fight a curse-less monkey like me.” She spat out.
With that, she threw her polearm in front of his feet, watching the white feather turn brown from the mud. Glancing up, Suguru’s expression turned into one of realization and hurt. Some part of her was glad. At least he looked how she felt.
She didn’t turn back around as she walked away and pretended that Suguru remaining quiet didn’t hurt her as much as it did.
Maki finds out that her favourite teacher Geto used to not like non-sorcerers.

“If you’re here on some mission the Higher-Ups gave you,” Hakari interrupted, raising the can, “Then you can take your leave now. We’re not interested.”
Suguru couldn’t help but snort at that, while Satoru rolled his eyes. He leaned over and placed his elbows on his knees, “ I just came here to talk to you guys.”
“What do you wanna talk about? Weird to have the Strongest Duo here at Gachinko. And I doubt you’re here to participate in the fight club.” Hakari asked.
Satoru sighed, his fingers reaching up to play with the edge of his blindfold. Embarrassment began to creep up his throat, “I… wanted to apologize.”
The room seemed to freeze for a moment. Both the ex-students' faces contorted into something of confusion and slight curiosity. It wasn’t often the strongest jujutsu sorcerers of modern history would travel all the way to apologize in person.
“Apologize for what?”
Satoru apologizes to Hakari and Kirara for not being the good teacher he should've been for them.
