    Summary

Pinch-induced behavioral inhibition, also called dorsal immobility, transport immobility, clipnosis, or scruffing, is a partially inert state that results from a gentle squeeze of the nape, the skin at the back of the neck. This instinctive phenomenon causes kittens to go limp and curl up whenever they are picked up by the scruff. This further assists the mother in moving her kittens, as they won’t squirm.

The reflex is lost by adolescence.

So why does Katsuki seem to automatically go quiet and still whenever someone grabs the back of his neck? That boy is not a cat, and even less a kitten. And after that one incident in kindergarten he swore to never experience again, Izuku can't stop thinking about it.

    or,

5 times Katsuki was grabbed by the nape and instantly went limp to everyone's surprise + 1 time it came in handy.
