Summary
Finishing Eddie's campaign seems like the only bright thing in Mike's foreseeable future. Even the flight to California that's booked for tomorrow makes him more anxious than eager and Mike wonders, if there’ll ever be anything in his life that will excite him like Hellfire did.
But California turns nightmares into reality and Mike, who tries his best to fit in is suddenly thrown out of his comfort zone and left to deal with confusing feelings. Why does Will's presence make him so nervous and why does saying "I love you" to his girlfriend feel like a lie?

Summary
After Will and El move to Lenora, everything feels difficult. Much to the disappointment of everyone around him Mike hides in the comfort of his basement and his NES, drowning in guilt every time he sees El's unopened letter on his desk.
Exploring the time skip between s3 and s4 focusing on Mike. This is basically just angst with no plot but we'll call it introspection for now.

Summary
“I didn’t want to lie to you.” Will’s voice is quiet and breakable, so different from the defensive, factual tone it should be. He should be meaner. Harsher. Crueler. “I just – I didn’t think it’d matter.”
It feels like Mike’s entire body trembles, shakes like it’s about to burst. “You didn’t think it’d matter if you lied to me?” He hisses, and his voice cracks, just the littlest bit.
Mike Wheeler tries his best to navigate his way through the end of the world, with lots of maybes and misplaced anger.

Bookmarker's Notes
Listening to this podfic is 2 hours well spent. Beautifully written and beautifully read. (the angst is worth it, trust me)
