Summary
“People fall in love with their best friends,” Charlie says again. And then he scoots himself down so their eyes connect, cups Nick’s face, and leans in so close Nick can feel his breath, his heartbeat. “And maybe they hide it, because they don’t want anyone to get hurt. Or they’re scared,” Charlie says, so quietly Nick can barely hear him. “But I know you’re lonely– you’ve been lonely, Nick. Things haven’t been good with her for a while now.”
Charlie moves even closer, until their noses are touching and Nick has to close his eyes to stop Charlie’s face from going blurry. “I can treat you better than her,” Charlie whispers, hotly, like he believes it with every fibre of his being, and he’s trying to convince Nick to believe it, too. “When you’re ready,” Charlie continues, thumbs running over Nick’s cheekbones roughly, “I’m here.”
Nick is ready.

Summary
Nick Nelson doesn't like his boss a lot on a personal level, but Benjamin Hope has given him a job and with it a purpose, a salary and, most importantly, a bit of his confidence back after being a disastrous failure at uni and, let's be honest, life in general. To his own surprise, Nick proves to be a good PA. He really sees no reason to complain if his tasks sometimes exceed the limits of his contract - until Hope starts an affair with Charlie Spring. Nick despises everything about this relationship, which would be bad enough as it makes for incredibly uncomfortable moments during his work days. Everything would be so much easier, though, if Charlie wouldn't only be the most annoying, but also the most beautiful human being Nick has ever met.

Summary
It was strange, really. Charlie hadn’t known Nick for long, and yet, whenever he saw Nick come into the library he felt drawn to him. He remembered the first time that he noticed Nick in the library, situated on what would become his regular couch. At first, Charlie didn’t think much of it, obviously students would make use of the library as a quiet study space, and Nick was no exception. But somewhere along the way, Charlie found himself going out of his way to sneak looks more often than not.
Charlie couldn’t help but notice him.
The way that his fringe would flop into his eyes as he scribbled away at his notes, or how his nose would scrunch up when he was working his way through a difficult passage of text. Or how the corner of his mouth would tilt up in a grin when he started greeting Charlie on his way in. Maybe he imagined it, but it seemed like every time Charlie responded with his own grin and quiet, “hi,” that Nick’s eyes would brighten.

Summary
American AU set in central Texas.
Charlie Spring transfers to Truham High in 10th grade to get away from the bullying he faced at his old school. He makes friends with Tao, Elle, and Isaac, and almost immediately crosses paths with Nick Nelson, and there’s immediate interest between the two of them. Then he finds out that Nick is the catcher for the Truham baseball team. Thaaaaaat’s a bit of a problem.
Charlie Spring hates baseball.
Nick Nelson is… mostly looking forward to the start of 11th grade at Truham High. He’s popular enough, has good friends, and is the starting catcher on the varsity baseball team. But Nick is tired. No one, not even his friends, seems to see him as anything as boring old reliable Nick. Then he sees Charlie Spring, and wow. Instant crush. Except… Charlie hates him.
Can Nick convince Charlie that baseball isn’t actually the worst sport in the world? Can Charlie maybe be the one person who sees past Nick’s façade?
