Summary
“Oh, come on,” Will says, struggling to keep his voice neutral in a different way. His mouth is dry, and he hates Mike for it even more. “Is this what it’s going to be like this summer?”
Mike looks back at him, considering, lips pursed in an effort to shut down the smirk that Will knows is fighting to break free. Will doesn’t dare to let his gaze catch there, focusing instead on holding Mike’s stare, because this, too, is a game.
Five years into a rivalry with bittersweet origins, the only thing Mike and Will want is to beat each other at this summer’s camp counselor competition. But being back at camp is dredging up old memories, and as Mike and Will lose momentum and gain something else entirely, it becomes increasingly clear that one summer can change everything.

Summary
This is something that, probably, someone with more objectivity on the situation than Mike would categorize as not normal. Personally, though, Mike isn’t all that pressed. Not when it’s so undeniably pleasant. He’s fine being abnormal about Will if it means not ruining this for himself.
After a few minutes, Will props himself up on one elbow, looking at Mike with sudden urgency. “Mike,” he says, blinking slowly at him, and Mike pauses the show again, arching an eyebrow at him.
“Yes?”
Will grins, all crooked and boyish and brilliant in the soft glow of the living room lamplight. “Let’s make out.”the one where they're exes who still kiss sometimes, but not, like, in a weird way.

Mike? Dustin pressed the radio to his ear, as if that could magically make him understand. What could Mike and Will possibly need a private channel for? He’d been about to cut in to ask, and to announce his presence, but Will spoke again before he could.
“How do you know mine looks awesome?” he countered, his voice sharp against Dustin’s ear. “You haven’t seen me yet. Over.”
“You always look awesome,” Mike had said without missing a beat, and vaguely, Dustin started wondering if maybe he shouldn’t be listening to this.Dustin accidentally switches onto a private radio channel, and hears some things he probably shouldn't have.

Mike glances down at the wet fabric of his sweatshirt and grimaces. “Fair enough.” He squeezes Will’s hand. “Just think warm thoughts, okay?”
Sometimes Mike is disturbingly similar to Will’s mother. “Thinking,” he confirms, squeezing his hand back. It does help, actually - picturing the long, hot shower he’ll be taking the second they’re back at his house, followed by hot cocoa, and dry clothes, and cuddling with Mike under several layers of blankets until the bone-deep cold seeps out of them both, and-
“Whoa,” Mike says abruptly, frowning. “Holy shit? What was that?”Mike and Will get caught in the rain, but luckily Will knows just how to warm them up.
