There were Rules.
First - names are chosen by Him and if He doesn’t choose them, they - the houseplants - simply do it themselves. Every time a new plant appears, she gets a name. No reusing, no changes. Every time a plant disappears... well. That’s not the point now.
Second - Help is essential between co-residing houseplants. Bigger plants shelter smaller ones, small ones make pacts with the weed to help the surrounding plants. The Silent Ones aren’t part of this agreement (except for special circumstances).
Third - Don’t. Have. Spots.
This fic is on temporary hiatus and will be updated once my Brian returns back to the realm of the Omens that are Good :')) The plot is planned out but the Will To Write is lacking. Have a day - if it's plesant, even better - and merci for understanding :'))

Summary
Martin Blackwood is a reporter for The Observer newspaper. He’s a normal enough man, and he’d like to keep it that way. He doesn’t have much reason to suspect anything too far out of the ordinary when he heads down to University College Hospital on a hunch to visit the man who may or may not be dead.
The man’s name is Jonathan Sims: a failed academic by all accounts, though what he’d been doing before the explosion that threw him into a six month coma is at the mercy of baseless public speculation. Now he’s lying in an empty ward with no heartbeat, dreaming.
It seems like enough to fill a slow news day.

Summary
How can two men hate each other so much, yet know so little of the other? How can you fight a mask when you're wearing one of your own?
Three weeks ago, Gotham was drowning.
The flood was supposed to consume everything, but what was promised to drown the city faded into a breeze. Gotham stood untouched, monolithic- yet the storm had cast an undeniable light on the shifting dynamics of their rulers.
In the days that followed, a series of ritualistic murders spread through Gotham’s forgotten districts. Bruce approached the case like any other: headfirst, methodical, relentless- but Joker had built something beneath the surface of Gotham.
Bruce has to decide whether he’ll listen, and be led astray by Joker’s devout followers, or worse, unearth a truth he’s buried in the pit of his own denial.
