The company, unaware of his arrest, eventually must accept that their burglar must have perished in the battle. A recreated mournful journey back to the Shire forces everyone to confront the past.

    Erebor is reclaimed, but that doesn't mean that the job of being king is an easy one, not least because every other dwarf under the mountain seems to want to have a say in his upcoming wedding.

    Fortunately for Thorin, what awaits him in his rooms when the day is done makes everything seem so much easier.

    Sometimes he is still surprised by his own happiness, but Bilbo and Dwalin enjoy surprising him, so that's alright.

    Instead, he finds Bilberry, daughter of Bungo and Belladonna, Ladyhobbit, landlady, and retired Captain of the Bounders.
    Fate turns a few degrees North, and Middle Earth will never be the same again.
