Summary
When they get there, Riko rushes to put the master’s urn in the mahogany desk and get away from it.
They stare at it for a long period of time. Kevin thinks he will be able to draw from memory, forever, the gold engravings in that porcelain: the painting of his, Riko’s, and Jean’s freedom.
The door opens and Jean comes in. He locks the door after himself, and comes near, resting a hand in Kevin’s shoulder.
“It’s beautiful,” he says, adoring.
They admire it for a moment longer.
Riko gets closer and opens the seal, looking inside. Kevin can’t see his face.
He says, “I want to piss on it.”
Jean snorts. “Can I be second?”
Kevin twists his nose, and says, “That’s unbecoming,” then adds, “maybe in the 49th day we could flush him down the toilet.”or: a shared kindle of a daydream makes life easier, and the boys, kinder. the plan makes them free.

“If our lives were a movie, we’d be static,” Nagito commented, an afterthought. Just like those outdated films, except neither of them knew the first thing about acting. Well, maybe Hajime did, but those were his talents speaking. Playing pretend couldn’t prolong Nagito’s life, no matter how superb the performance.
Another bout of mirthless laughter bubbled from his throat. The sound caught in the contour of Hajime’s collarbone, ringing hollow.
“We all die eventually. I’m not saying it’ll happen today or tomorrow, but nobody knows. That’s why I want to ask,” Nagito insisted, reaching up to caress Hajime’s cheek, “will these memories hurt Hinata-kun? When I’m gone and you sit here on this cabin floor alone, will you regret ever having met me?”

“Who are you?” Servant whispered out, looking up at the man from where he limply laid in the inside of the open pod. His weak eyes squinted against the harsh white fluorescents befouling the room from above. It only served to make the ache in his head intensify.
The man’s dark brows furrowed just slightly, the act nearly imperceptible, but he saw it. “It’s me,” the man answered, as though that was supposed to mean anything at all. “It’s Hinata.”
When Komaeda Nagito finally wakes up, it's clear that something's not right. Hinata tries his best to navigate through it all, but The Servant finds no pleasure in being accommodating to strangers.

(After too many loops, Takumi's cryptoglobin becomes unstable. The best method for treating it is a blood transfusion, and the best option for that, willing or no, is Eito. But sharing cryptoglobin so directly also shares memories, and sharing too much blurs the memories together. As far as Takumi and Eito are concerned, they've known each other since childhood. And the relationship they've suddenly always had isn't a healthy one.)
