Summary
Everything is going slowly foggy. The fear is fading. Eddie's vaguely aware that it's probably because he's dying. What was terrifying a couple of minutes ago is only vaguely of interest now. An ephemeral pressure on the back of his brain. Present, yet easy to ignore.
All he can taste is his own blood, but it's not so bad. At least he can tell Dustin how much he loves him. And Steve's there. Steve Harrington. Who knew he would turn out to be such a great guy? So, yeah. It all feels alright. Everyone seems to be fine, so Eddie did what he set out to do.
Eddie was brave.
Eddie feels sleepy, vaguely aware that he's, actually, probably dying.
He closes his eyes.
There's a strange sense of vertigo, strange enough that Eddie notices he's standing up before he notices that someone's kissing him. It's a soft press of lips. It's wonderful.
Eddie blinks his eyes open, and from an inch away, he's looking at Steve Harrington.

“What, you’ve never seen a guy kiss his friend on the cheek before? Are you against friends showing affection?” Eddie teased, running his tongue along the rubber spoon again, he was having so much fun with this.
Or; Steve and Eddie had really wanted to tell Robin, they swore, now it's just too fun to mess with her.

Without greeting, “I already did my driveway,” Steve explains, “thought I’d come by and see the damage on your side. See what I could knockout.”
Eddie leans against the doorjamb, a cane held tight in his left hand. He’s not properly dressed to sit outside and keep Steve entertained, wearing flannel pajama bottoms and a sweat stained plain grey t-shirt. “Well, hello to you, too,” he gently teases.
Softly, “Hi,” Steve finally says. Though his right hand is mittened, he gives a terse, stiff finger wave.
Quietly, Eddie scoffs under his breath and playfully rolls his eyes. “You’re gonna overexert yourself,” he tells Steve, “Wayne’ll trek back just fine.” He opens the door a little wider, stepping back. “Wanna come inside?”

Summary
When the power briefly goes out in their dorm, Eddie blindly grabs what he assumes to be a flashlight from Steve's bed. As if having a crush on his hot roommate wasn't enough, accidentally discovering his sex toy sends Eddie into such a spiral of graphic fantasies about Steve that he can no longer look him in the eye and tries to avoid him at all cost. Until Steve confronts him about his behavior one morning, and things take a very unexpected, rather embarrassing at first, but absolutely amazing turn, with Steve matching his freak down to a capital F.

Summary
While helping with packing and moving Eddie's stuff to the Munsons' new trailer, Steve and Robin accidentally come across some of Eddie's very private magazines. They decide to hide them at Robin's place until Eddie comes home, and that should be the end of it.
So Eddie's queer. It's not a big deal, because so is Robin. Except Steve can't stop thinking about it, and about their interactions in the Upside Down, and about how nice it feels whenever Eddie looks or smiles at him.
It might be just the flattery of it all, somebody finally being interested in him after a while, that's getting to him. Or is it? Would he feel the same way about any guy? And what should he even do about it?
Steve goes through a complex week of introspection; thankfully, not without his platonic soulmate by his side always ready to talk. And in the end, it doesn't matter if he still has doubts or unanswered questions. One thing he knows for sure: there's something about Eddie that makes him want to just go for it.Written for Steddie Love Month day 22 prompt: battle vest

Steve comes to Eddie's trailer with a very personal problem. Eddie listens, compassionate and judgment-free, and proposes a solution. Completely selflessly, of course; he just wants to reassure Steve that there's nothing wrong with him, or more accurately, his dick. Except for the fact that Eddie's been pathetically yearning for his friend for months now, and is always greedy for whatever scraps of Steve Harrington he can get, even breaking his own heart in the process.

“You’re doing so good,” he says, no louder than a whisper in the small space between them. His voice rains down on Eddie like a storm in the summer, wet and warm. It washes the tension off his shoulders, brings with it the calm of the afterglow.
In all its aching familiarity, it’s new, too. And that should scare him. Make him run for the hills, as he’s so used to doing, and leave nothing but the shadow of his guilt behind.
But it doesn’t.
Instead, it invigorates him. Fills him with the heat of a fire he knows he’ll burn himself on if he allows the flame to catch. Fills him with the knowledge, terrifying and true, that Steve will tend to his wounds when he does.

"You promise it's okay?" Steve asks, his voice oddly lost, quiet. It's one of those questions that's way too heavy to speak aloud, comes with so many more behind it. He doesn't mind the job, honestly. He bitches about it because work is work and sometimes work just sucks. Nothing wrong with it. But he can't shake the feeling that it's going to piss Eddie off one of these days. That he'll get jealous or disgusted or maybe just tired of him, tired of Steve and tired of the person Steve is when he works and tired of all of it. Tired of Steve wanting him so fiercely so often so much. He's waiting for that moment to come crashing down and rip him apart.
And Eddie, still on his knees, kisses just below Steve's belly button.
"Promise," he answers, just as quietly, just as sincere. And then that little glint returns, that little mischievous curl of his lips.
